Privacy Policy

The Department of Agriculture (DA) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment (MARDE) takes the privacy of citizens seriously, implementing a Personal Data Protection Policy that complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Law on the Protection of Natural Persons with Regard to the Processing of Personal Data and the Free Movement of such Data of 2018 [Law 125(I)/2018].

The Personal Data (PD) collected by the DA is limited to what is strictly necessary for the citizen’s compliance with any legal obligation performed during the submission of the Wine and Must Production Declaration.

The processing of PD by the DA is governed by the principles clearly described in Article 5 of the GDPR. The PD provided to the DA is not further processed in a manner incompatible with the purposes for which it is collected.

The aim of the DA is for the PD collected to be accurate and updated when necessary, taking all reasonable measures to promptly correct or delete inaccurate data, taking into account the purposes of the processing.

The PD is retained in physical or digital files for the period required for the purposes of processing.

This period is determined on a case-by-case basis.
